Alignment Chart
Instructional alignment is the process by which the different instructional elements are connected to each other to create high quality effective instruction. It aligns the course curriculum with appropriate goals, objectives, content, activities, and assessment.
An alignment chart is a tool that clearly illustrate how learning objectives (both terminal and enabling) influence how assessments and activities of all kinds are designed. The instructional elements (objectives, assessment and activities) are listed as columns and the objectives refilled as rows.
The alignment chart below can be used as a constant reference for the course structure. It illustrates how learning objectives (both terminal and enabling) influence assessments and activities.
